All in all, I am very impressed with HandStory. While many other
"doc" editors do a credible job on the Palm side, HandStory's
desktop tools are what really make this application shine. The
range of document types that HandStory can convert coupled with
the easy way it handles those conversions has allowed me to replace
all my other "doc" readers with this one.

HandStory has released version 2.0 of the
company's up-and-coming reader, and it's starting to blur the
lines in terms of product category. To define what category to
place the product in is just short of impossible - is it an AvantGo
replacement? A DOC reader? An image viewer? A supercharged Memo
Pad replacement? The answer is yes, on all of the above.

When I first decided to review this application,
I thought it was a simple offline Web browsing tool. I quickly
found though, that it is actually much more than that.... I was
pleasantly surprised and very pleased with all of the features
available in HandStory, and I would highly recommend keeping this
little treasure around for a travel companion.

Image handling is perhaps the star of the
suite... DOC file reading is also polished... fast opening and
navigation of even very large files... As HandStory is developed
further, it promises to become better and better value.

Now, HandStory Suite is your perfect answer.
What this program can do for you is to view your e-books, documents

programs to view files separately.

Best Photo software, looks great on Clie
Hi-Res
If you want to control how your pics are gonna look on your Palm/PDA,
this is the software you need. You can select whether the picture
fits the screen or not, and how big it can be. You can crop beforehand,
too. You can put your pics on a memory Stick/SD card, and if you
have a Clie, the picture quality is just stunning, no other program
I have tried (and I have tried about 10 of them) even comes close.
Handstory does other things, too, like Web Clipping (not as good
as AvantGo in my mind), e-books (none available yet), but the
one that I also use a lot and that works great, is the ability
to copy text from a website onto a doc in your palm. You see something
on the web you wanna copy, you highlight/select it, right/hand
click on it, and it will be converted to a simple, easy to read
memo type document, without all the graphics that wouldn't show
well on a pda. Quick, easy, useful.

| Just Great! I experienced no hesitation
removing my beloved Isilo after having installed this program. Isilo,
even 3.1 version crashed my Clie T415 with jog control, but this
one never crashed mine until now. Clip update fuction will let you
forget about Avantgo, which is slow and sometimes won't get the
datas you want.
Now there is only 1 program for me to manage documents and memos
with my Palm, and that is Handstory.

| On the program itself, it replaces
a doc reader, an off-line browser, and an image viewer. In fact
the major new feature for version 2 is off-line browser. I was happy
to remove another famous off-line browser (name withheld) without
regrets. Handstory happily subsituted the same channels provided
by the other browser, and it put the file into my memory stick --
no longer cluttering the main memory.
As said above, the program also supports SD/MMC/memory sticks
as well as jog dials and high-res screens of Clie handhelds.

A real space-saver
Handstory frees up the space previously occupied by FireViewer,
iSilo, and ClipSync. However I do wish it will allow dedicated
categories for each file type - memo, doc, and image.

It works as stated
This is the first software I purchased for my Clie. It works
as they state. I can read just about anything using it. I don't
think it works for pdf files though. And, you have to load files
onto the internal memory, then you can move them to external memory
and it works fine like that. Anyone else have this experience?

It is truly one of the best Palm applications
out in the market. This tiny app. can read high-colored images
as well as e-books and memo. and the desktop converter which comes
along can easily convert everything I need in my palm with only
a few clicks. I am looking so much forward to the new version
of Handstory that can read HTML documents, which will be released
soon according to their development roadmap. Great works!

simple to use and helpful. Do not try it! You will become addictive

Outstanding software. As a physician it
has made carrying the latest medical data on my PDA extremely
easy. The desktop/PDA interface is extremely easy to use. In three
clicks you can take internet text and have it on your PDA. The
combination doc reader/memopad/image viewer gives you 3 programs
in one (and with limited memory these days this is essential).
This software is head and shoulders above the competetition, especially
with the memory stick support.

Great support
I recently upgraded to 1.2 and couldn't get it to work properly
(probably all my fault). Three E-mails in that many days brought
three prompt responses. Unusally great support for a great product
which now converts color images if you have a color device.

Easy to Use. Quick Search response
Very easy to use. Search response time is better than other programs
for an equally large file. Intuitive onscreen commands.
