HandStory Basic for Mac is the freeware version of HandStory, with limited
features. It is distributed in the compressed Stuff-It format for those who
use HandStory in the Macintosh environment. The Stuff-It file contains the
HandStory Basic version of the browser program for Palm, as well as the
HandStory Converter program previously released as part of the Mac Service
Pack.

With HandStory Basic, you can try all the basic features of HandStory Suite,
such as converting texts and images; browsing memos, Docs, and images in
your Palm; and enjoying free HandStory eBooks. Features of the Converter
include the main functions of the Windows version, such as Doc conversion,
image conversion, and the ability to install eBooks from the HandStory Web
site. However, this version does not include the Web clip feature due to the
extensive changes made to Mac OS X.

1. Click the download button of an appropriate version of the HandStory Basic. (There are different installers depending on your OS and Palm Desktop version.)

2. In Internet Explorer, the Download Manager window will open. The downloaded file will be saved on the Desktop in Stuff-It format.

3. Run HandStoryBasic.sit. A HandStoryBasic folder will be created on the Desktop.

4. In the HandStoryBasic folder, double-click the HandStory program file to run HandStory Converter for Mac.
