New Features of HandStory
Suite 2.3 for Pocket PC
Support for multiple extended memory cards
HandStory Suite 2.3 supports saving files to, and reading them from, multiple extended
memory cards.
Support for 256 color image conversion in Clips, for smaller file size
Convert Images to 256 Colors option has been added to the Images setting in the
Clip Settings dialog box, enabling smaller file sizes. This option
is useful for those who are conscious of the memory space in their handheld.
Support for making Custom Direct Clips from HTML files in the local hard
drive
You can make Custom Direct Clips from HTML files stored in your computer's
hard disk. Now you can periodically update Clips from HTML files that are
stored on your computer.
Support for Unicode text file conversion in HandStory Converter
HandStory Suite 2.3 supports converting text files in the Unicode format to
read on the Pocket PC.
Support for more file extensions in Direct Clipping
Now, Web pages with file extensions such as *.story, *.png, *.tiff, or *.nsf
can also be converted in Direct Clips.
New Clip Script commands for HandStory Script Clips
New Clip Script commands have been added to HandStory Clip Script. The new commands
include commands for clipping Web pages where an article is divided into
more than two pages. For more information on the new Clip Script commands,
please refer to the HandStory Clip Editor manual.
Faster clipping speed when updating Script Clips with with a large number
of images
The clipping speed of Script Clips which contain a large number of images
has been improved.
Support for adding a note when converting an image
You can easily add a note to the image when converting with HandStory Converter.
For example, when saving the image of a map to your Pocket PC with HandStory Converter, you
can add directions
with this Image Note feature. You can also leave the image description
in the image note for later use. On the handheld, you can view
or edit the note at the Tools -> Image Note menu.
Support for displaying the list of contents in HandStory eBooks
In Book view, a new contents icon ()
is added to the menu bar. You can easily access the list of contents in HandStory
eBooks using this icon. If there is no list of contents information in the
eBook, the icon is disabled and no list is displayed. This list of contents
information cannot be edited by the user.
Support for installing and viewing commercial HandStory Clips and eBooks
You can download and view commercial HandStory Clip/eBook contents from the
HandStory Clip Service Web site
or from other HandStory Clip/eBook distributors.
