7. Checking the Script Grammar

A Script grammar check is performed when a Script Clip is created or edited. Users can avoid writing faulty scripts by this grammar checking process.

• When Creating a New Script Clip
  
  Click Check Script in the New Script Clip dialog box.
  
  
  
  
  
• When Editing an Existing Script Clip
  
  Click Check Script in the Edit Script Clip dialog box.

  

   

HandStory Clip Editor shows the result of the script grammar check in the Check Script Results window.

• If there is No Error
  
  The "No error found in this Clip Script" message is displayed at the end of the check result. Click Close to finish.

  
  
  

• If there is an Error
  
  The "# error(s) found in this Clip Script" message (where "#" is the number of errors) is displayed at the end of the check result. The error information is also displayed to help users to correct them. Click Close to finish. Back in the Edit Script Clip dialog box, click Edit Script, edit and save the script text file, and try checking the script grammar again.
