3. Editing a Script Clip
Users can edit Clips, change clipping rules and select clipping
options with the HandStory Clip Editor.
- Editing a New Script Clip
- Open HandStory Clip Editor. To run it, select Start -> Programs -> Namo HandStory (or Namo HandStory for Pocket PC) -> HandStory Clip Editor. Or, right-click the HandStory icon in the Windows system tray and select HandStory Clip Editor from the menu.
- In the Clips list box, select the Script Clip to edit and click
Edit, or double-click the title of the Script Clip.

- In the Edit Script Clip dialog box,
modify the Title, Update, or Image settings. Also,
a brief description of the Clip can be added in the Note text box.

- Click OK to finish editing. To modify the Clip Script of this
clip, press the Edit Script button before clicking OK.

When the Edit Script button is clicked, the default text editor
program of the computer will open the script text file. Edit the script,
save the file, and close the text editor program.
- In the Edit Script Clip dialog box, click
OK to save the changes and exit.
Note: A grammar check of the modified script will be performed automatically.
The modified script and Clip will be saved only when there are no errors
in the script. If there are any mistakes, a window showing the check result
and the errors will be displayed. For a detailed explanation of the grammar
check, please refer to Checking the Script Grammar
section.
- The Clip is successfully modified. Note that once a Clip is modified, all Normal Clips are changed to User Clips.
- Editing a Direct Clip
- Open HandStory Clip Editor. To run it, select Start -> Programs -> Namo HandStory (or Namo HandStory for Pocket PC) -> HandStory Clip Editor. Or, right-click the HandStory icon in the Windows system tray and select HandStory Clip Editor from the menu.
- In the Clips list box, select the Direct Clip to edit and click
Edit, or double-click the title of the Direct Clip.

- In the Edit Direct Clip dialog box, modify the Title, URL, Depth, Update, or Image
settings. Click OK when finished.

- The Clip is successfully modified. Note that once a Clip is modified, all Normal Clips are changed to User Clips.
