2. Creating a New Clip
Users can create new HandStory Clips using HandStory Clip
Editor.
- Creating a New Script Clip
- Open HandStory Clip Editor. To run it, select Start -> Programs -> Namo HandStory (or Namo HandStory for Pocket PC) -> HandStory Clip Editor. Or, right-click the HandStory icon in the Windows system tray and select HandStory Clip Editor from the menu.
- Click New Script Clip.

- In the New Script Clip dialog box, enter
Title and select the Update and the Image options.
If desired, type in a brief note in the Note text field.

- Click Edit Script to create or edit the Clip Script.
- The script text file is opened in your default text editor program.
Edit the script or write a new one, save the file, and close the text
editor program.
Please read the HandStory
Clip Script Manual
to see how to write the script.

Note: HandStory Clip Editor manages
file names automatically, using a temporary filename, "ScriptEditingTmp.txt",
for editing clips. It does not change the actual script filename, which
is the same as the title of the clip that the user entered in the New Script Clip dialog box. When editing clips,
simply save the temporary file with its default filename and location.
The actual script file will be saved to the correct directory with its
associated HandStory Clip file (*.hsc).
- In the New Script Clip dialog box, click
OK.
Note: A "grammar check"
of the newly written script will be performed automatically. If there
are no mistakes, the new clip will be created without errors. If there
are any mistakes, a window showing the check result and the errors will
be displayed. For a detailed explanation of the grammar check, please
refer to Checking the Script Grammar section.
- The new Script Clip is added to the Clips list box.

- Creating a New Direct Clip

the Title and URL of the clipping target. Select the appropriate
